How to Use Your Recode Recordings

START HERE

Press play. Then let life become the practice.

A Recode recording is designed to be more than something you listen to once and forget. The audio gives you a place to slow down, notice an old response and mentally rehearse something different. The real integration begins when the next real-life moment arrives and you have another option available.

YOUR FIRST RECODE

Five simple steps are enough.

1. Choose one thing that matters now.

Start with the pattern, situation or identity that is creating the most friction in your life right now.

2. Create a safe listening space.

Choose somewhere you can relax without driving, working with machinery or needing to respond to your surroundings.

3. Set a simple intention.

You do not need to demand a result. Decide what you would like to understand, release, rehearse or respond to differently.

4. Listen without performing.

You do not need to prove that you are deeply hypnotised. Follow the experience as naturally as you can.

5. Take the Recode into life.

After the recording, watch for the next moment when the old pattern normally appears. That is your opportunity to practise.

STEP 1

Choose the pattern, not just the title.

When the Recode library grows, it can be tempting to jump from one recording to another because every title sounds interesting. A better question is:

Where does the old response still win?

If money creates tension, avoidance, guilt or a feeling that receiving more is somehow unsafe, start with a money focused Recode. If the issue is confidence, visibility, relationships, self image or another area, choose the recording that most closely matches the moment you want to handle differently.

Depth is usually more useful than collecting recordings. You do not need to work on everything at once.

STEP 2

For your first listen, just listen.

Get comfortable. Reduce interruptions if possible. Use a volume that feels easy to hear. Headphones can make the experience feel more immersive, but they are optional unless an individual recording specifically says otherwise.

You do not need to take notes while the audio is playing. You do not need to analyse every suggestion. And you do not need to keep checking whether you are "deep enough" in hypnosis.

There is no single correct sensation. You may feel deeply relaxed, mentally absorbed, physically still, fully aware of the words, or simply focused. Your experience can also vary from one listen to the next.

STEP 3

Use repetition to build familiarity, not dependency.

There is no universal listening schedule that every person must follow. A simple starting approach is to choose one primary recording and stay with it for several listens before deciding whether to move on.

The point of repetition is not to chase a magical number. It is to make the language, mental rehearsal, useful ideas and behavioural anchors increasingly familiar, so they are easier to remember when a real situation appears.

If listening starts to feel mechanical, or you find yourself collecting recordings instead of practising anything outside them, simplify. Return to the one issue that matters most.

Repetition strengthens familiarity. Action creates evidence. Evidence strengthens identity.

MORNING OR EVENING?

Choose the time that helps you participate.

Morning

A standard Recode can be useful when you want to begin the day with a clear intention and carry its cues into situations that may arise later.

Evening

Evening can give you quieter space to reflect, rehearse and listen without immediately rushing into another task.

Sleep editions

Only recordings specifically labelled as sleep editions are designed to let you continue into sleep. Standard sessions bring you back toward normal waking awareness.

There is no prize for choosing the "perfect" time. Consistency, safety and your ability to give the recording some attention matter more.

USING MORE THAN ONE RECORDING

You can. Just do not turn change into playlist hopping.

Different parts of life overlap, so there is nothing inherently wrong with using more than one Recode experience. But if you are working seriously on a pattern, it can help to keep one recording as your primary focus rather than switching between five unrelated themes every day.

Ask yourself which change would make the biggest practical difference right now. Let that recording lead. Add another only when it supports rather than distracts from that focus.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART

The recording is the rehearsal. Your life is where the Recode becomes useful.

During a Recode session you may mentally experience a familiar trigger, explore the response attached to it and rehearse a different way of meeting it. But rehearsal becomes meaningful when you recognise the same kind of moment outside the recording.

That could be when you need to state your price, make an offer, receive money, follow up, speak up, set a boundary, make a decision, tolerate uncertainty or do something that the old version of you would normally avoid.

When that moment arrives, you do not need to feel perfect. You need enough awareness to create a small gap between the familiar reaction and what you choose next.

THE 30 SECOND RECODE

NOTICE. BREATHE. REMEMBER. CHOOSE. ACT.

NOTICE

Catch the old pattern as it appears. Name what is happening without turning it into your identity.

BREATHE

Create a moment of space. One deliberate breath may be enough to interrupt the rush into automatic response.

REMEMBER

Recall the rehearsal, phrase, image, anchor or perspective from your recording that matters in this situation.

CHOOSE

Ask what response is more useful now. You are not trying to manufacture a perfect emotion. You are choosing your next response.

ACT

Do the useful thing you can actually do. Send the message. Make the offer. Have the conversation. Receive the compliment. Look at the number. Take the next step.

CREATE EVIDENCE

Notice the moments that prove something is changing.

Change is not always dramatic. Sometimes the first evidence is that you notice the old reaction sooner. Sometimes you recover more quickly. Sometimes you hesitate and still act. Sometimes you handle a conversation, payment, decision or opportunity with slightly more calm.

If you want, keep a very small evidence log. It does not need to become another project. Three questions are enough:

  • What did I notice?
  • What did I choose differently?
  • What happened because I acted?

Over time, those moments can give you something more useful than a positive statement alone: evidence from your own behaviour.

IF NOTHING DRAMATIC HAPPENS

Do not mistake quiet change for no change.

You may finish a recording feeling deeply moved. You may simply feel relaxed. You may notice an insight immediately, or the useful part may become apparent several days later when a familiar situation occurs.

Avoid measuring the experience only by intensity. Instead, pay attention to your actual responses. Are you noticing more? Avoiding less? Recovering faster? Making a decision that used to feel difficult? Taking an action you previously postponed?

No recording guarantees a particular result, and your circumstances, choices, skills and actions still matter. The purpose of Recode is to help create another internal option, then give you a way to practise it.

IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE

Stop. You never need to push through.

If a recording feels distressing, too intense or inappropriate for you, pause or stop it. If you have a medical, neurological or mental health concern and are unsure whether hypnosis or deep relaxation is suitable for you, seek guidance from an appropriately qualified professional.

Please read the Listening & Safety page before your first session if you have any questions about safe use.

THE SIMPLEST WAY TO REMEMBER IT

Listen. Rehearse. Respond. Integrate.

You do not need to make Recode complicated. Choose what matters. Give the recording your attention. Notice the real-life moment. Use the anchor. Take the useful action. Then allow your own evidence to become part of the story you tell yourself about who you are.

The goal is not to become somebody imaginary. It is to make a more useful response increasingly available when you need it.
